NATIONAL YOUTH DAY SPECIAL: Swami Vivekananda ~ A Prestigious Legend

MESSAGE ON NATIONAL YOUTH DAY
SWAMI VIVEKANANDA
THE GLORIOUS SOUL OF INDIAN HEARTS

Today, on 12th January, 2015, it is a 152nd birthday of Swami Vivekananda. And this day is celebrated as National Youth Day in our nation, in India. We are proud of it. On 12th January, 1863, the legend was born. He was named Narendranath. His father was Vishwanath Dutt. So he had been called Narendranath Vishwanath Dutt. A boy who had lived in spiritual environment created by his mother and raised with all the qualities of his father. He was kind, noble, strong, theist and responsible to his religion and his nation. At the young age, he came under the influence of Shree Ramkrishna Paramhansa, and his mind started wondering about the true form of god. Then, he chose Ramkrishna Paramhansa as his mentor and left his identity from the world. He became Swami Vivekananda; his mentor gave this name to him. He was the saint of Hinduism, he spread the message of unity in all over the India as well as world. He went to Chicago to attend the World Religion Conference and to represent Hinduism on behalf of India. Initially, he had to face many problems to present himself in that conference. But with the help of few kind people, finally he managed to attend the conference. His first speech was so influential that the whole assembly honoured him with a big round of applaud for three minutes on his first sentence when he addressed the assembly with ‘My Dear brothers and sisters’. He was the legendary soul, who spread the message of faith via that conference and his each speech was successful. Every day there were full audience to hear him, and it was the greatest achievement for an Indian who represented the country on the western horizon.
He travelled England and America and he spread his messages and teachings in all over the world. He lived very short life of 39 years. He died on 4th July, 1902. But his teachings stayed forever. His teachings, his messages are still alive in people’s hearts. He has established the roots of faith and he was the one who wanted to unite each religion of the world. He was the representative of Hinduism, but he had respect for each religion of the world. Christian representatives also appreciated him after his speech in Chicago. He had been honoured as the best speaker at the World Religions Conference, and he truly deserved that title. He was the greatest soul. We know that he is not among us, but we have his teachings and his messages and those are sufficient to understand the meaning of life and importance of faith in our hearts.
He always gave importance to the youngsters. He believed that success is dependent on the youth of the nation. If the nation has awaken youth, it can achieve each goal. He believed in youth and he always wanted to unite the youngsters in order to develop our own nation. That is why his birthday is celebrated as National Youth Day every year. It’s time to wake up. It’s time to show the true power of Indians as Swamiji had shown. His life had many phases and we can study each phase and try to absorb his teachings. We must accept that we are the future and present of our nation. We are youth and we must develop the nation.
So wake up guys. India needs us. We must protect our future, India’s future and we have to secure the Indian legacy for our descendants. Because it seems that we are losing faith in our own country. If we want to secure our legacy, first secure the nation’s legacy.  Because a good nation indicates good people. As responsible citizens of India, we must support in development of our nation. It was the dream of Swamiji that we unite and lead the nation. Young leader with young blood and young mind has many creative ideas which can be useful to the nation. And we have that ability to create ideas, to lead the nation and to represent India at the international platform.
Happy National Youth Day and Happy Birthday to Swami Vivekananda… We hope his message and life help us to develop our nation.

FROM 2014 TO 2015

FROM 2014 TO 2015…

 DREAMS, DESIRES AND EXPECTATIONS

First, Happy New Year to all the readers. We’ve entered in a new year of 2015 by passing through the memorable year of 2014. Yes, 2014 was a memorable one. We saw many incidents and accidents in 2014. We saw happy moments as well as painful moments. For India, it was a year with mixed feelings – happy as well as painful. Happy because India got successes in science, technology, politics, economics and in many other fields. India got a new Prime Minister who won by majority of votes after a long time. Mr Narendra Modi – New Prime Minister of India, had visited many countries and made the foreign relations strong. The great cricket player Sachin Tendulkar received the Bharat Ratna Award, which can be considered as a great achievement for the nation. Sachin Tendulkar who is considered as one of the greatest cricket players around the world and he has been received a title of Master Blaster. Such event indicated glory of incredible India.
In the other side, India has seen a painful view too. The greatest disaster of India in the previous year was Kashmir Flood. The whole state of Jammu-Kashmir had been affected by floods, which had mostly destructed the glory and beauty of beautiful state. Even the capital of the state, Srinagar couldn’t prevented by the effects of flood. In the month of September, Gujarat had faced floods in few cities due to heavy rainfall. It has also faced riots. And above all, in 2014, the greatest disaster of India ever has completed 30 years. On 2nd-3rd December 2014, Bhopal Gas Tragedy’s 30 years completed. But still the painful views can be seen in Bhopal. There are still few families which were affected in 1984’s gas Tragedy of Bhopal. Yet they haven’t got justice. In December, Pakistan got a heart-breaking scene of Peshwar Attack where children were killed in a terrorist attack. After few days, in Assam, children were again attacked by terrorists. The painful screams of children made people sad. They were helplessly screaming, but no mercy they could get. It was ahead of that curve if cruelty – inhuman act.
India succeeded to launch Mangalyaan on the mars. It can be considered as a great success of India. India received success in sports too. Medals, centuries and victories made 2014 a memorable year.
Well, people don’t get attached with feelings. They know how to move on. And they will. Forgetting the painful memories of 2014 and getting motivated by good memories of 2014, people will move on in 2015. It will be a great year. 2015 is the year of expectations for the cricket world. Yes, it’s a year of World cup. ICC world cup 2015 will be played in this year on the grounds of Australia and New Zealand. They are going to host the world cup this year. The Winner team of 2011’s world cup, India has already more expectations of people on getting world cup this year too. Last time in 2011, India had hosted and it won. After becoming the world champion, this year India has a lot of pressure.
We will face many challenges this year and we shall overcome. The only thing we must have is faith. We must have faith to believe that we can. If we believe we can, we will surely achieve our goals and ambitions. By leaving the bad memories behind and motivation from the good events, we shall move on. And we meant to move on. No one can break our guts. We have strength of facing challenges. It is not about winning, it’s about facing. Because it’s better to fail while facing than to fail without trying. At least we must have satisfaction of trying once. And we know that satisfaction gives peaceful sleeps at nights.
In the end, I want to say only one thing – KEEP BELIEVING… Because it’s the only way to succeed. I remember a one line of a song from the Hollywood movie ‘The Polar Express’; it says You have everything you need, if you just believe… That’s true. We must believe. Because without faith, hope is useless. We must have faith in what we do. Then only our hope would bring what we want. It requires faith. I wish you a great and successful year ahead. May this year brings a lot of happiness and prosperity in your lives.
             Happy New Year…
