Father’s Day
Thank you, Dad. For everything you’ve done for me

Generally, third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father’s Day in India and many other eastern and western countries. We know the Mother’s Day on second Sunday of May. And we always see many ads, articles and posts about Mother’s Day and showing importance of Mothers in lives. But Father’s Day is always ignored, just like Men’s Day. What is it? Is Father is less important than Mother in our life? People say that a mother can take care of a child even without father. But in other hand, we’ve many examples in which Father has also cared for his child when the mother has gone or died. We’ve always disgraced our Father compared to our mother. No, I’m not saying against mothers or women. But still, I feel that men and fathers should be given equal importance. If a mother gives birth to a child, a father also raises him/her and takes his/her responsibilities. He also sacrifices his many dreams only to fulfil his child’s requirements. He could never see tears in his child’s eyes, because those tears indicate his failure in taking care of his child. Every child sees superhero in his/her father. And a father can never fail. Because he is their superhero, their guardian. How could he fail?
When we see our mother crying, we try to calm her by wiping her tears. But when we see our father crying, believe me, it’s the saddest moment of our life. Our half courage breaks down at that particular moment. When we see our superhero crying, what else can we do for him? And we always know that there is a bigger reason behind his tears, because fathers are believed strong, and if they’re crying, there is something wrong. So, we can’t bear tears in our father’s eyes. And I personally don’t like that scene.
The other thing is that our father makes many sacrifices throughout his life only to secure our future. Apparently, he has many expectations from us. But still, if we fail to fulfil his expectations, he doesn’t say a word. He still inspires us to move on and get other achievements.
I recall one incident from my past life when I was in HSC. Board results were about to come and I was sitting in front of my computer screen, eagerly waiting for results. Everyone had great expectations from me, because I was considerably bright student of my class. But when my results came, I was completely broken. I could get barely first class. I, my friends and teachers had hoped for distinctions and more. But all I could get, was 61%. My father sat beside me, when the results came. Despite of my disappointment, I glanced at him with the corner of my eye, and I saw that sad eyes staring still at computer screen. Once I had believed my fate, but he couldn’t accept that. But still, despite of that unexpected down result, he didn’t say me a word. Perhaps, he believed me. He knew that I deserved more. But it was over now. At that evening, he only inspired me to overcome my failure and begin a new life with a new dream. He advised me to chase a new dream. And I followed his advice. Though I failed to stand over his expectations many times, he still believes me. He has trust in my capabilities, even I don’t have now.
The conclusion is: Our fathers do everything to make us happy. So technically, it’s our noble responsibility to respect him. We’ve his name and we can feel proud due to only and only his name. So, we have no right to destroy his name, fame and glory. He never makes you follow his path, but he shows us the path. He is our true mentor.
Only a father knows the real world and its consequences. So he teaches us how to deal with this world. He makes us a man. A journey from a boy to teenager and from a teenager to a man. And the one man who never leaves us, is our Father.
A father is our role model and we always want to become like him. A father teaches his son how to be a good husband, son, son-in-law, and moreover a good father. A father loves his daughter more than any man could ever do. And that’s why each girl sees her father as her first love. And believe me, girls love fathers more than us (boys). Because they say there is only one man on the earth on whom they can blindly trust. FATHER.

Finally, thank you, Dad, for everything you’ve done for me. And thank you that you’ve maintained your faith in me for all these years. Thank you for inspiring me when I was broken down. Thank you for believing me when no one had belief. Thank you to fulfil my each request and desire. Thank you, Dad. Thank you very much.
Thank you, God. You’ve given me such a precious relation. I’ll always owe you for this.
