Christmas - A festival of celebration and faith

Christmas

A Festival of celebration and faith

First of all, on this wonderful day, let’s take a new refreshing start with some new goals and resolutions. Merry Christmas to you all readers. May the upcoming year of 2015 bring a lots of happiness and delight in your lives and fill them with prosperity.
We all know it’s an annual festival of the year and the whole world celebrates it with different traditions. We respect all the traditions and all the faithful people around the world. Christmas – Birthday of Jesus Christ. Moreover, it’s a day of celebration. To forget all the sorrows of passing year and to get ready for the delights of upcoming year. People around the world celebrates it as a festival of light, festival of peace and festival of faith. No fight, no hate. Only care and love. We all love this festival and eagerly wait for this festival every year. For the kids, it’s a wait of their favourite Santa. They believe that Santa would come at Christmas Eve and leave with gifts of their desires. Children wish for gifts to Santa and to the supreme god. No child knows the fact that the Santa is none other than his/her own father. Father – A person who lives for his family, to make his family happy and satisfied, he can do anything. He’s a father, who comes on Christmas Eve as Santa Clause and brings presents for his children. An image of fat guy with red clothes and white long beard –Santa, who is believed as messenger of god. The world honours mothers with the highest phrases, but it doesn’t mean that fathers shouldn’t be honoured. If a mother gives birth to a child, then a father raises his child with love and care. He fulfils his every wish by sacrificing his own dreams. For every father, his child’s dreams come before his own dreams.

Festival of celebration:-
December arrives with enthusiasm and curiosity of Christmas. In western countries, this enthusiasm can be seen at a different level. They decorate their homes, shops, offices, malls, multiplexes, etc. to welcome the Christmas, and to celebrate birth and arrival of Jesus Christ on the earth. The whole month is filled with joy and delight. Every faces reflect smiles and grins. Christmas trees are decorated with lights, balloons and other decorations. Christmas tress (Pine trees) can be taller than our imaginations. In many cities like Paris, London, New York, SF, the Christmas trees are made taller than 30 or 40 feet. They indicate people’s enthusiasm and faith for this festival. It’s not just a festival now, it has become people’s faith. It is more than their faith. In wintry cold December month, when western countries are covered with snow, people’s enthusiasm makes an atmosphere warm enough to feel each other’s love. Greetings, wishes and celebrations absorb all the tiredness of people and fill them with new energy that will lead them to begin a new year with full refreshment. No one sleeps on the Christmas Eve. I remember a song’s lyrics like ‘No one sleeps when Christmas Eve comes to town…’ Celebrations of Christmas continues till the New Year. Nights of 31st December are celebrated by youngsters to say good bye to the past year and welcome the New Year. Weekly celebration of Christmas ends with beginning of New Year and people starts their work again after enjoying a Christmas vacation. That’s why it is called ‘A festival of celebration’

Festival of faith:-
In all the Christian churches around the world, faith can be seen during the Christmas. Not only in the churches, but in the entire Christianity. We can feel that ‘Merry Christmas’ is not only a word, but it means a lot than it. It indicates a faith of people to the god. It indicates their greetings for others, cares for their close ones. The day when every Christian can feel proud on being a Christian. To honour the honorary god Jesus, words cannot be enough. To praise the lord’s teachings and to appreciate his deeds, words are not enough. We know Jesus Christ’s pains, we know his teachings, and we know his life. It’s just we don’t follow his teachings. We know that if each human follows his teaching, the world can establish peace for the eternity. When a god demands peace, when his devotees demand peace, why we don’t establish peace? Festival of faith teaches us to hold our unconquerable faith in the supreme soul and we have that faith. If we all pledge on this festival of faith to establish peace in the entire world, the dream can be fulfilled. We can modify the world, we can learn the lessons. We can make a better society that has religions with better understanding and peace.

New Year Resolution:-
On this Christmas, let’s make a resolution for the new upcoming year that we will participate in the establishment of peace in this world. We will achieve our dream of peaceful world. We have to just believe, believe in our strength, believe in ourselves and believe in our souls. We can walk on the path which is shown by the god.
Once again, Merry Christmas… And wish you all a happy, victorious and peaceful life ahead…
