Tsunami of 3102 BCE (Part 1)

Tsunami of 3102 BCE (Part 1)

Effects, Consequences and Future (Part 1)

West Coast of Aryavart in 3102 BCE (Present Day: Somnath, Gujarat)

Near the temple, made of sandalwood (Old Somnath Temple built by Krishna), the peaceful ocean immediately became mad. Waves of ocean started rising higher towards the sky. After few moments, the shining sun was covered with the water walls. People became scary and there was chaos everywhere. Fortunately, the city near sandalwood temple of Shiva, were safe, as the waves started moving away. People were relieved that Prabhas Patan was safe. However, the waves were moving towards the familiar direction. Towards the golden city, known as Dwarka. People had never seen such high waves of ocean. This was clearly a natural disaster. It was abnormal, because no disaster had such power. The waves seemed so powerful that they could even break the mountains and high rocks or whatever tried to come in their way. It seemed as if the waves had the target and they were moving towards their destination quickly.

The leaders of Prabhas Patan commanded to evacuate the city as soon as possible. Moreover, other leaders ordered medical teams to stay alert, in case any bad news comes. People started moving towards the thick forest at the boundary of their city.

Satyaki and Kritavarma had been boasting about their triumphs in the Mahabharata war, since they both fought from opposite sides. [Satyaki was disciple of Arjun and he fought from Pandava side. Bur Kritavarma was the commander of Narayani Army, and the army was given to Duryodhana by Krishna. So he had to fight from Kaurava Army.] Yadavas had selected their groups and they all were boasting and drinking wines, unaware of the coming disaster. Suddenly, the boasting turned into the quarrel and Yadavas took out their swords like soldiers. Satyaki and Kritavarma both were now fighting with each other. Meanwhile, Pradyumna (Eldest son of Krishna and Rukmini) arrived to stop them. But the fight had become unstoppable. They had become bloodthirsty. Pradyumna somehow managed to pierce his way inside the fighting groups.

Krishna was watching the scenario from the balcony of his golden palace. Sad that his own dynasty wanted to destroy each other. They were fighting and killing each other like animals. He raised his gaze towards the horizon and felt something coming towards them in unavoidable speed. Meanwhile, birds started flying in no direction and sound of air became bizarre. Krishna could hear the voice of waves touching the high rocks of his beloved golden city. A sword came from nowhere and passed through Pradyumna’s stomach. Krishna heard the last painful cry of his eldest son, and the next attack beheaded Pradyumna and his dead body lied on the rock. Krishna immediately went inside, seeing the assassination of his son, and ordered soldiers to prepare troops. He told Balarama to evacuate their parents Vasudeva and Devaki towards Mathura along with Revati, Rukmini and other queens as soon as possible. Balarama did as Krishna said. And in time all royal members of Yadav Family were on their way towards Mathura except Krishna, Balarama and their sons. Balarama ordered to evacuate the city as soon as possible. People felt fear in their lungs. And they started leaving the city as soon as possible. Krishna, Balarama, and their sons started helping people to prepare boats and go towards Prabhas Patan through safe path. Few people made their way towards the Indus River and some followed Krishna and Balarama towards Prabhas Patan.

Meanwhile, the high walls of water came in full speed and broke the main golden gate and bridge of Dwarka, which was connected with city area. Evacuation of city had spread chaos and people were losing their stuff. Krishna and Balarama tried to save as many people as they could. Krishna guided the sailors to sail the boats in safe direction. People, who were seeing the dreadful scene of destruction of the city, were speechless. They could not imagine how the water flooded into their houses and destroyed them all in once. The grad buildings, made f\of pure gold, which were like sky scrapers, even they couldn’t bear the force of the water. Skyscrapers were flowed with water. Krishna and Balarama glanced to see the destruction and the waters broke the main gate of Dwarkadheesh palace, and flooded inside the golden palace. The waters took Rukmini Palace, Satyabhama Palace, and Revati Tower one by one and destroyed them all. In few moments, the yellow flag of peacock feather at the top of the palace sank in the water along with the hope. The high walls of water moved ahead and swallowed the entire city of gold, and then water became peaceful again as if it had achieved its goal. Krishna and Balarama saw their entire city destructing at once. The beloved city of Krishna was now just a dream. Gold had been swallowed by the ocean and it would be formed into clay as the time passes.

Krishna and Balarama managed to save few people and they successfully reached at Prabhas Patan. But that city was entirely empty. Few people were tried to serve those people who were in pain. Hunger and Illness with plague had captured remaining Yadavas, and they were dying eventually in front of Krishna’s eyes. Balarama’s limit was over now, and he couldn’t watch his own people dying like this. So, he finally decided to leave in the forest and from the earth. Krishna permitted and he also followed him the forest.

Balarama sat under a tree and started meditating, while Krishna was wandering in the forest. Balarama left his breath through meditation and a long snake with uncountable heads appeared from his body and disappeared towards the sky. Balarama died. Krishna wandered for days and then he sat under a tree, resting and thirsty. He closed his eyes, stretching his legs. A hunter was in hunt for an animal. He saw a ear-shaped blue skin through the bush. He aimed his arrow and hit the target. But it was not what he supposed it. He heard a painful cry of human. He quickly ran in the direction of voice, and he saw that he didn’t hit any ear of an animal, but he hit the leg of Krishna. Blood was coming out from Krishna’s body. The hunter started pleading to Krishna, but Krishna assure him not to worry, he was just a medium of his death. It was the curse, and he just became medium to make that curse true.

Eventually, Krishna left his breath under that tree and departed to his spiritual abode, Vainkunth. Few people, who wanted not to fall ill, departed towards the Indus River and few stayed there.

To be continued...

Note: Mausala Parva describes that Tsunami came when Arjun was about to leave after rescuing people. That Version would be published later, which would portray a story how Arjun saw Dwarka was being swallowed after the death of Krishna.

P. S.: The reasons of this Tsunami of 3102 BCE would be published in another post. It would have full description of all the reasons (known and unknown) that caused this dreadful disaster.
